Contract Extension for Mollie

Somerset County Cricket Club are pleased to be able to reveal that Mollie Robbins has agreed a contract extension.

The 27-year-old has signed a new one-year deal which will see her remain at the Cooper Associates County Ground until at least the end of the 2027 season.

A product of the Gloucestershire Pathway, Mollie joined the Western Storm Academy in 2021 and went on to feature in 22 matches across the formats for Storm.

The right-arm seamer signed for Somerset in November 2024 and made her debut against Warwickshire at Edgbaston in the 2025 Metro Bank One Day Cup.

Mollie represented Somerset in 22 matches across the formats last season and was the Club’s leading wicket taker in the Vitality Blast, claiming 16 wickets at an average of 17.68 with a best of four for 29.

After signing her extension, Mollie said: “I’m really excited and really grateful that I have another year here at Somerset to show what I can do on and off the pitch. Results didn’t go our way as a team last year but individually I was pleased with how the season went and I’ll be looking to build on that in the future.

“It feels really special to be a part of the first ever professional Somerset team. It feels like a long time ago that I was playing club cricket back at home so to take a minute to look back and see how far the women’s game has come is really rewarding.

“I just want to try and inspire the next generation of girls who can now see this as a career path and hopefully we can do that as a team and as individuals. I think the game’s only going to keep growing. Women’s cricket’s getting bigger, more opportunities are coming up and I’m excited to be a part of that.”

Somerset Head Coach, Erin Osborne said: “We’re really excited to confirm that Mollie’s contract has been extended. An experienced pace bowler, Mollie plays a key role in leading and supporting our young bowling group, setting high standards both on and off the field. The influence and knowledge Mollie brings to the squad are invaluable, and we’re really looking forward to continuing the work together moving forward.”

Somerset CCC Director of Talent & Women’s Performance, Matt Drakeley added: “We’re delighted that Mollie has signed an extension with the Club. She played a significant role with the ball for us throughout the 2025 season and brings valuable experience and mentorship to our bowling group. We’re excited about the impact she can continue to have on and off the field and look forward to working with her over the coming seasons.”
